My husband got a kidney transplant from a cadaver 14 months ago and is doing very well. He'd been telling me for about a week that he felt "level"...that everything felt right with him. We saw the transplant doctor last week and his exact words were, "Everything is level now". Somehow my husband felt it. I'm just glad he feels so good and life is getting back to normal. Dialysis was no picnic for him but he only spent 11 months on hemo before the transplant.

Hi everyone, I have just been aprroved to be a living kidney donor for my husband. he still has a bit more testing to undergo but we are hoping early in the New Year to have surgery. He has been fortunate not to have had to go on dialysis at this point. They say that pre emptive surgery would be his best shot from a living donor and luck had it that i turned out to be a match. Any insight from other donors would be great. It has been a long process even just to get tested and find out for certain that I am a match. I am just so impressed but all the sites and support that is on here. I think it is great. As I say anyone wuilling to share their story would be greatly appreciated.
