Hi, if you are from the Edmonton area I have recently found a Gluten free Tea Room, called Spouting Off. It is located in Stony Plain right on Main Street (50th street) and 50th Ave. It is run by a woman with celiac disease, has been open for about 6 weeks and everything there is gluten free! I actually had a sandwich with untoasted bread for the first time since I was diagnosed over a year and a half ago. The white bread was really good- even my non-celiac husband ate it and liked it. Don't know about the brown bread- I haven't tried it yet. They had all kinds of baked goods as well, and soup, too. It was a real treat! They are a daytime establishment- open Tuesday through Friday 9:30-4:30 and Saturday 10-4. Apparently, they also take orders a day ahead of pick up and they have a private meeting room as well. I figured this was worth passing on!
