Are knock-offs always best?

For the last few months we've been discussing products that are economical. However, it's good to keep in mind the old adage that cheap things can turn out to be expensive.

There's another way to look at it: The most expensive products aren't always the best, and the cheapest products aren't always the worst. What is true is that products from the more expensive brands usually contain a higher percentage of the active ingredient. In less expensive products, there is a lower percentage, but they'll market the product as giving the same end result.

That's why I recommend that you don't go cheap on treatment products such as moisturizers, serums, cleansers, toners, or foundations and concealers. Now as far as shadows, blushes, lipsticks and lip pencils, do what you want, but remember that sometimes these products don't live up to their promises!
