 Post subject: Thyroid and heart palpitations

Anyone know about the thyroid's relation to heart palpitations or heart disease? I have had half of my thyroid removed 2 yrs ago and now the other half is enlarged and I am experiencing palpitations. My doctor told me today that the two may be linked. I had never heard this before. Is there anyone else who has experienced this?
