My doc says that my thyroid and hormone issues are caused by the MS...Not separate issues at all. I am only 28 and have all the classic menopause symptoms on top of lots of the regular menstrual issues. Also, I have some symptoms of hypothyroidism, except my hair is not thinning and I have an extreme inability to cope with heat (MS), not cold (thyroid). (And I live in the South, how dumb is that!)

I was wondering, how many other people are getting info like this? And what does it lead to? Any meds or other treatments? I have found information about MS causing thyroid problems, but I haven't found anything about the hormones.

I am interested in finding out more of this, I have had problems with my hormones for years, and my thyroid was diagnosed around the same time, mine is very underactive, heat makes me irritable, and very weak and faitgued. I have never been told that thyroid and hormone were issues caused by ms, I also have pericious anemia which was also diagnosed around the same time as my ms. Thank you for the info, and good luck.
