I am a 34 yr old female and was dx with MS exactly a year ago and have been taking Copaxone for a year now. I have had all the side effects related to the drug except the extreme chest pains. I have had 3 relapses in the past year and my recent MRI scans show more active lesions in my brain and spine. My neuroligist explained to me yesterday that it is apparent that my body is not responding to the Copaxone and strongly suggest I change to Rebif. Since I have 3 1/2 year old twin girls and live a physically active lifestyle, I am very concerned of the "flu-like" symptoms that most experience with Rebif. Is there anyone that can share their experience with this treatment or any other words of advice?

hi, i have been on rebif now for 6 months and i suffer the flu like symtoms but they tell you to do your rebif in the evening before bed time. i usually take a painkiller before i do the rebif and then i sleep through it. so doing it this way minimizes the side effects. also they say the side effect are reduced with time im told. I have a friend who has been on rebif for 4 years now and she gets no side effects at all. hope this is some help to you
